2024 Mission Trips with Gateway
Big or small, we believe God calls us to serve others in need. Gateway regularly supports communities and organizations through mission trips. To join a mission trip, fill out a mission trip interest application by Sunday, March 3. If you have questions, you can reach out to us at missions@gatewaychurch.org.
Missions Training Dates
Mission trip participants will be required to attend mission training meetings on the following dates:
Combined Missions Training:
- Saturday, March 9 from 9AM - 2PM (Lunch Included)
DR Missions Training:
- Sunday, March 17 • 2-4PM
- Sunday, April 7 • 2-4PM
- Sunday, May 5 • 2-4PM
- Sunday, June 9 • 2-4PM
- Saturday, June 15 • 10AM-2PM
West Virginia Missions Training:
- Sunday, May 5 • 2-4PM
- Sunday, June 9 • 2-4PM
- Sunday, August 4 • 2-4PM
- Sunday, September 15 • 2-4PM
Commissioning Sunday Service: June 9 at 9AM and 11AM
2024 Mission Trips
Dominican Republic with Ina York & The Cercadillo Project • June 21-29, 2024
The Cercadillo Project is transforming an impoverished community in the Dominican Republic through hands-on ministry, education, vocational training, Bible studies, and the Christian community. Gateway regularly sends a team to help with projects and summer programming in the Dominican Republic. Activities will depend on the gifting of the team but could be in the areas of sports, music, tech, crafts & creative interests. No matter what your gifting is, if you are interested, we'd love to hear from you! Open to adults and those ages 14-18 with a parent.
McDowell County, West Virginia with Hope Force International • October 12-18, 2024
We are partnering with Hope Force International, a Gateway missions partner, to serve in McDowell County, WV. The goals of the trip are two-fold. First, we are there to build community and to provide hope to a hopeless area. Many of the people in this part of West Virginia have needs beyond housing and food. We will learn about the culture and how to better help the people around us. We will also be helping in small fixer-upper/construction projects. We will take the level of experience from our volunteer base into consideration prior to preparing a detailed work schedule. Open to adults and those 12-18 with a parent.
