We are a give-first church because we serve a give-first God. That means we give first from the heart. We are faithful stewards of what we’ve received and live with gratitude.
Generosity encompasses everything in our lives—from how we handle our time, skills, energy, and money. While generosity is broader than money, often how we handle our money reveals what’s important to us. Jesus said what we treasure reveals our hearts.
“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
— Matthew 6:19-21

We want you to feel confident that Gateway faithfully stewards the money and resources it receives. We strive to be transparent, wise, and prayerful in operating our church finances. You should know that Gateway maintains strict confidentiality over giving.
Each year, an annual budget is prayerfully prepared and presented at a community meeting open to everyone. Members of Gateway vote to approve the budget. Because we live in community, we decide as a community how to spend our resources. Our budget includes expenses such as building operating costs, payroll expenses, and the costs of running ministries such as family ministries, Sunday gatherings, small groups, and local and international missions.
We deeply desire to steward our finances in a trustworthy way so that each person can focus on what God is calling him or her to give with confidence that it will be used wisely to further the kingdom of God.
Missions are a priority at Gateway. Big or small, we believe God calls us to serve those in need. We support a variety of missionaries and mission efforts, both local and international. To see a list of the people and organizations we support, please visit our missions page.

Missing gifts can happen if you've ever given while not logged into your personal Giver Account—or if you forgot to enter your email address at the end of a GivingFlow. Unclaimed gifts cannot be legally included in your charitable donations for income tax purposes until you claim them.
But don't worry! You can use the Receipt Lookup Tool to claim those gifts, add them to your giver account records, and add them to your end-of-year tax statement. You can find the instructions here.
By the end of January, an automated email will be sent to everyone who has made a donation in the previous calendar year and set up a giving account. The email will contain a link to access your giving statement.
If you have not set up a user account for giving at Gateway, please contact us at info@gatewaychurch.org and we can send your statement to you.
