KidzTown

Lead Teachers • Assistants • Check-in • Sound/Media

The KidzTown team is comprised of Lead Teachers, Assistants, Check-In Concierge and Sound/Media volunteers. This team helps care for, nurture and teach children on Sunday mornings.

Lead Teachers: Leads set up children's classrooms, welcome children/parents, and teach age-specific or activity-specific classes. Teachers are provided with the weekly curriculum as well as all supplies. We ask Lead Teachers to commit to one service time (9:00 or 11:00am) with a rotation of 3 Sundays on & 3 Sundays off for Birth-5years and 1month on (teaching only 3 Sundays) & 1 month off for K-5th grade. Lead Teachers must be GCC members and need to have attended Gateway for at least 6 months.

Assistants Teachers: Assistants aid teachers in setting up the classrooms, welcoming kids/parent and teaching the age-specific or activity-specific lessons. We ask assistants to commit to one service time (9:00 or 11:00am) with a rotation of 3 Sundays on & 3 Sundays off for Birth-5years and 1month on (teaching only 3 Sundays) & 1 month off for K-5th grade. Assistants need to have attended Gateway for at least 3 months.

Check-in Concierge: Create a warm, welcoming environment at the check-in desk on Sunday mornings; schedule rotation is 1 week on / 3 weeks off. Check-in assistants need to have attended Gateway for at least 3 months.

Sound/Media: Set up, run, and put away sound/media equipment on Sunday mornings; schedule rotation is 1 week on / 3 weeks off.

Team Leaders: Alison Hansen (birth-5 years) and Erin Krotz (K-5th grade)

Please note: Because we value the safety and security of all of the children in our building, we require each of our volunteers to undergo a simple, quick background check. If you have any questions or concerns about this, please feel free to email Associate Pastor Alex York at alex@gatewaychurch.org.
