Membership at Gateway
Membership at Gateway is not simply adding your name to a roster; it’s about connecting with the people and the vision of the church. At the same time, we recognize the practical need for a formal roll of our committed individuals, who we call “members.”
Gateway’s charter regarding the requirements of membership reads:
“To become a member in the Church, a person must be a professing believer in Jesus Christ who gives evidence of regeneration, who has been baptized in obedience to Christ following his or her profession of faith, has completed a membership course, and is at least eighteen (18) years of age. Each prospective member must agree to submit to the governance and discipline of the Church and to the teaching of Scripture as expressed in Our Beliefs Statement, and must agree to endeavor to keep the commitments expressed in the Membership Covenant.”

Connect4: Your gateway to gateway
Gateway’s Connect4 process guides you through learning all about Gateway, how you can get connected and begin engaging in authentic Christian community.
Connect4 is made up of four one-hour sessions to guide you to 1) connect with God, 2) explore Gateway, 3) discover your purposeful design, and 4) consider ways you can make a difference at Gateway and connect with team leaders. These sessions take place at 9:00a.m. on Sunday mornings, the first 4 Sundays of every month, unless otherwise noted.
stepONE – CONNECTING TO GOD - First Sunday of every month
stepTWO – WELCOME TO OUR HOUSE - Second Sunday of every month
stepTHREE – DISCOVER YOUR DESIGN - Third Sunday of every month
stepFOUR – MAKE A DIFFERENCE - Fourth Sunday of every month
Although we hope you will attend all four Sundays of Connect4, the first two weeks of Connect4 will satisfy the requirements for a membership class at Gateway beginning February 2019.
